The partnership between humedica e.V., the Fondation pour les Enfants d´Haiti and the Hôpital Espoir aims to improve hygiene procedures and general wound management at the Hôpital Espoir.
Problem: Medical care in Haiti continues to be inadequate and unstable, particularly since the 2010 earthquake.
Main activities: Within the scope of the partnership project, professionals from the Hôpital Espoir learn to implement hygiene measures. In addition, an isolation area is to be established and observation techniques learned along with techniques for conducting interviews within the hospital.
Short-term results: Training medical staff in appropriate hygiene measures is to improve the care available to patients.
Long-term results: The general health situation of patients inside the hospital is to be improved.
