Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Hassan II University Hospital in Casablanca, Morocco, have been working together in a close partnership for years. For the current project, the partnership has been extended to the Gabriel Touré Hospital of the University of Sciences, Technics and Technologies in Bamako, Mali. In collaboration with Siemens Healthineers, the partners are conducting a project to improve the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological cancers. The project uses a digital platform provided by Siemens Healthineers for regular tumor boards, webinars and e-learning modules to train medical professionals from different disciplines. An annual summer school is also part of the project.

The project is funded by the GIZ regional program University and Hospital Partnerships in Africa (HKP). The aim of this program is to train healthcare professionals of the future and to strengthen state-of-the–art research on topics relevant to global health.
