The University Hospital of Tübingen is working on the topic of Tuberculosis (TB) together with the Centre de Recherches Médicales de Lambaréné in Gabon and the Fondation Pour La Recherche Scientifique in Benin. These institutions belong to the newly founded TB network. In cooperation, they are developing a software for video-based monitoring of the medication intake of TB and HIV patients in rural areas of Gabon and Benin, which contributes to improving adherence.

The project is funded by the GIZ regional program University and Hospital Partnerships in Africa (HKP). The aim of this program is to train healthcare professionals of the future and to strengthen state-of-the–art research on topics relevant to global health.
