The University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi are also conducting a project on AMR in Ghana. They are among the founding members of the AMR network, which, in addition to operational research on AMR, is implementing a uniform DHIS2-based laboratory information system at all partner locations in Africa.

The project is funded by the GIZ regional program University and Hospital Partnerships in Africa (HKP). The aim of this program is to train healthcare professionals of the future and to strengthen state-of-the–art research on topics relevant to global health.
