1st Joint Congress of the Nepalese and the German Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

The German Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (DGPW e.V.) hosts its 61st annual conference on 15 and 16 November 2024 at the new Medical University of Lausitz - Carl Thiem in Cottbus.

For the first time, the annual conference will be organised together with partners from the Nepal Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Since 2020, there has been a Hospital Partnership between the Nepal Cleft and Burn Center Kathmandu and the Medical University of Lausitz - Carl Thiem. This impressive partnership includes an active clinical-academic exchange programme in the departments of plastic surgery, burns medicine, oral and maxillofacial surgery, hand surgery and paediatric neurosurgery. The steadily growing German-Nepal network exchanges ideas in all medical professional groups and supports each other on an equal footing in mutual observation visits and courses.

The 1st Joint Congress of the Nepalese and the German Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery will focus on international medical partnerships and humanitarian projects. The congress is open to interested guests upon registration. The Hospital Partnerships recommend that you do not miss this event, which is also the first international congress of the first state university hospital in the state of Brandenburg, which was newly established in July 2024.
